Blars' Naturist Page
IMHO the difference between a naturist and a
nudist is a matter of setting. Naturists prefer being without
clothing in natural settings: beaches, natural hot springs, etc.
Nudists go to "landed" clubs to disrobe. Many people do both. In the
USA, the two main groups are "The Naturist Society" and
"The American Association of Nude
Recreation". (The latter changed their name from "The American
Sunbathing Association".)
See my Southern California Clothing Optional
page for local information.
The Naturist
Society (TNS) publishes a quarterly magazine Nude and
Natural. The Camping Bares of Southern
California and the Canyon
State Naturists are affiliated travel clubs.
